I got back sunday from my band trip (same trip as Kitami)it was so much fun, although very tireing! We didnt do very much in cleveland, we went to a giant candy store and to a NASA place that was there that our band directer's father worked at. The most fun was in New York, i guess thats because we did the most there. But in cleveland we did have fun in the pool. We played football in the pool then we moved into chicken fighting. It was so funny! We were in NYC for 3 days, I was even on the today show, but i havent been able to see that yet...
Wicked was one of the best parts of NY. We have a piece of music that has 3 songs from wicked that we have been playing in band and seeing the songs live made them so much cooler! I couldnt stop laughing during the show because everytime Glinda (good witch) did this weird foot thing that she does, the guy sitting next to me would giggle(he is a senor from band and he is a very big guy) it was so funny when he would giggle because i didnt expect a guy that big to giggle!
I really enjoyed the swing club we went to, i love it when we play music like that in jazz because it is so much fun and it was really fun to learn how to dance to the music. My partner and i were not very good at it at first but we practiced between songs and got pretty good. Our band directer was videotaping the trip and he kept comming back to us to tape us doing the spins. Kitami and i missed trees and the country that we had to pet and smell the carrage horses! We really missed our horses, and it was nice to be able to pet some nice horses while we were there. We were good horse wise the rest of the trip. In little italy we ate at Pugilas(sp?) and there was a guy with a keyboard and he played songs while we were eating. The best song he played was the Napkin Song. It was so funny! Go to YouTube and look it up, we were all doing this in the restrant. Its really quite the experince! We also went to the statue of liberty and when we took a cruse in the harbor we kinda crashed a prom, that was pretty funny, but it was really fun to dance with kids from the area. Another funny part was that our prom was exactly a month from that day.
The hotel we went to in allentown penn. was so freaky! It was dirty and the manager was being very rude to us. Also someone that was staying there told one of our parents that came along that we should leave right away. We just all packed up and snuck out(well as sneaky as a coach bus with 38 kids on it could be) and we went to a nicer hotel. We made a whirlpool in the pool there, that was really fun, especally when we'd switch directions but we felt bad because it started to leak in the hallway so we stopped and cleaned it up.
Philidephia was kinda bad, it was very hot and humid so none of us really wanted to be outside. My favorite part of philly was the science musium, we went to see a pirates exibit. This scientist found a real pirate ship, it was really cool.
Tomorrow will not be very good, i have to get my wisdom teeth out.
